General Stitch Marker Info:
All of our stitch markers are snag free. We never use split rings or jump rings, both of which can snag or damage your yarn. Most of our markers are handformed from strong 20 gauge wire (some beads do require the use of 22 gauge wire, but we always state the wire size in our listings). We only use the highest quality non-tarnishing wire and all of our wire (including our colored wire) is either silver plated or gold plated.
Stitch Marker Sizing Info:
We size our markers so they are a close, but not tight fit to the needle size we state in our listings. The size listed is always the largest needle we recommend using with the set; however, they will work on any needle smaller or equal to the size listed. We suggest that you don’t go more than three sizes smaller because even though they would still work, you start to lose the advantages of the needle hugging design.
There is one exception to this and that is if you are a very fast knitter - fast knitters might want to select sizes larger than the needles they work with as the extra room allows for faster transfer of the marker from one needle to the other. Or, you might want to try a set of our Speed Loop markers.
Our markers are designed so that they move very smoothly along your needles and there is no need to push them down because they will never bind against your needles the way many other markers do.

Do you knit tightly?
If so, you might consider using our Mini Needle Huggers. Although none of our markers will cause holes in your knitting, we designed our Mini Huggers especially with tight knitters in mind. The bead is smaller and slightly more off-set from the needle ring to ensure that the marker never causes a hole even in the tightest knitted project. You'll barely even know the markers are there. If you would like to see a picture comparing the size of our mini's to our regular Needle Huggers, please contact us.
Working with lace?
